Lead Hardware Engineer

What are you going to do?
As Lead Hardware Engineer You will work independently on complex electrical installations in wet infrastructure and within the industry. You will design and lead a team of Engineers. The projects are diverse, such as the design and realization of new construction and renovation projects. Examples within wet infrastructure include bridges, locks, water treatment plants, pumping stations, and drinking water pumping stations. Additionally, you will work on a wide variety of industrial applications. You also act as the link between clients and our internal organization, coordinating activities and ensuring that our clients' expectations are met.
Your duties are:
- You efficiently monitor the assigned budget, schedule, and work in progress, and report deviations to the project manager;
- As a knowledge holder and expert, you ensure that your team has access to the right resources and knowledge;
- You decide independently on the implementation of the design, the schedules, and the budget;
- You work independently and as part of a project team, and independently prepare multiple engineering packages simultaneously;
- You design, draft, and develop electrical, measurement, and control automation installations and systems.
What are you taking with you?
As an individual, you possess extensive technical knowledge and expertise, which you share with your team. Within the projects, you determine the approach to the work yourself, you have a clear overview of the end goal, and you know how to set priorities.
In addition, we ask:
- A completed education in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or equivalent;
- You have knowledge of applicable standards and guidelines such as NEN1010, NEN60204, ATEX 60079 and SIL 61508/61511;
- You are familiar with the activities in the engineering process (material selection, cable calculations, short-circuit and selectivity calculations, and the design of controls);
- You have experience as a team leader or manager. If this is evident in practice and you possess the ambition (and potential) to develop further, we would also like to hear from you;
- You are familiar with short-circuit and selectivity calculations and PLC and SCADA systems;
- You have experience with E-Plan or similar systems.
