Feel the energy

At Entrance - Centre of Expertise Energy, energy professionals are trained and research is conducted to develop ideas into solutions to accelerate the energy transition. How do we do this? By combining our knowledge and expertise with companies, researchers, students, knowledge institutions, and government agencies.

Together we create the sustainable energy supply of tomorrow

Accelerating the energy transition is crucial to combat the effects of climate change and keep our planet livable for future generations. New solutions are needed in every area, as are professionals capable of developing new technologies, energy concepts, and distribution and transport systems. We help clarify the consequences of these choices.

The different ways we collaborate

Entrance connects education, research, and professional practice through learning communities, where lecturers, teacher-researchers, and student researchers, along with participants from professional practice, work – through learning – on answers to current and future issues.

Entrance's energy pilot project brings together technology, knowledge, and practical challenges. Here, good ideas are developed into working solutions. Anyone who wants to test a product, service, or process in a controlled, realistic environment can use our facilities.

Entrance boasts laboratory facilities, an energy pilot project, the Energy Barn, and the Energy Academy Europe. By shortening the path from prototype to successful market launch, we accelerate the energy transition and create (international) opportunities for businesses in our region.

Want to experiment yourself?

Want to test a product, service, or process that will help advance the energy transition? You can connect your own test setup to our data, electricity, natural gas, heat, and hydrogen infrastructure in Entrance's energy pilot project. You can also conduct research in one of our many test facilities. Contact us to discuss the possibilities.

Develop your talent in energy at Entrance

Want to improve the world with work you love? Then take a closer look at the energy transition! Thousands of exciting jobs will be created in the coming years. These include mechanics, installers, and technicians, as well as those in economics, policy, law, communication, and psychology.
