Bilfinger supports Nutrinova with feed for new artificial sweetener production facility.

Bilfinger is supporting Nutrinova in the development of a new production facility for artificial sweeteners in Germany. The project focuses on duplicating an existing factory at a new location to ensure product availability on the global market.

The facility will be a virtually identical copy of the existing factory, featuring an expanded layout, a GMP-compliant production area for food industry applications, and an adjacent office building. The production process is complex and involves the processing of raw materials in solid form, conversion to liquids during production, and final processing into solid end products. “We are proud to support Nutrinova in expanding their production capacity with this new facility,” says Kevin Pieterse, President Consulting & Engineering Western and Central Europe. “By combining our engineering expertise and international collaboration, we provide a solid foundation for Nutrinova’s future growth and resilience.” The project is being executed in close collaboration between Bilfinger’s engineering teams in Germany and the Netherlands. Building on our strong performance in the concept phase, led by our German team, Bilfinger is responsible for delivering a FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) package and a 10% cost estimate. This lays the foundation for the Detailed Engineering phase of the project.
