Content of the training

Do you have the right mindset and skills to innovate? Rapid societal changes present complex challenges, including for organizations. This calls for a new way of tackling issues. Bring together the right expertise, be creative, and dare to experiment. During the Design-Driven Innovation master's program, you'll collaborate with organizations and companies on current issues in areas such as:

  • Sustainability
  • Health
  • Technique
  • Voedsel
  • Education
  • Welfare
  • Energy transition

From business economist to IT specialist, and from artist to event manager; whatever your background, you'll develop the knowledge and skills you need. You'll immediately apply what you learn to real-life challenges. You'll do this in an interdisciplinary team of students, lecturer-researchers, citizens, professionals, profit and non-profit organizations, and government agencies. Together with your study coach, you'll map out a personalized path so that after graduation, you'll be the innovator the field is eagerly waiting for.

Form of the training (program)

In the Design Driven Innovation master's program, you will work on developing your skills in five learning outcomes:

  1. Systems and Interaction: Learn strategies to understand complex systems and map their interdependencies.
  2. Research and Design: Acquire the skills to create sustainable value through design interventions and reflect methodically on the results.
  3. Organization and Facilitation: Learn to develop sustainable value propositions, integrate stakeholder value and effectively manage transition processes.
  4. Accountability and Conviction: Develop the ability to establish frameworks for design and research interventions and to report convincingly to stakeholders.
  5. Subjectivation and Formation: Cultivate self-reflection and professional curiosity, and develop an ethical, inspiring design mindset.

Practical information
