Industrial Engineering and Management

IEM: this is a true engineering degree program, in which you learn to translate new industrial techniques into practical solutions, such as more sustainable production processes or new products.

In this international Bachelor's program in Industrial Engineering and Management (Technische Bedrijfskunde in Dutch), you'll learn to analyze problems and develop, design, and implement solutions. You'll be trained primarily as an industrial engineer, and you'll learn to assess the practical application of your solutions in business.

After all, a technical solution is only applicable if its feasibility has been thoroughly tested. Renewable energy comes in many forms, such as wind, solar, biomass, applied directly, or with electricity or hydrogen as an energy carrier. How can we best apply renewable energy? What is most efficient, and what are the costs and societal integration? These kinds of questions will arise during your education and further career.

Technology supplemented with management
 

You'll be enrolled in this program at the Faculty of Science and Engineering. The focus is therefore on science subjects such as mathematics, physics, and chemistry. Programming also plays a significant role in the program. You'll also take courses in business administration, management, and logistics. With your technical expertise and business insights, you'll almost always find yourself in professions at the intersection of technology and management. Embedding in business and society is a core element of this program.
