In-depth heat pump technology
You delve into installation diagrams, piping, and process data. You learn both in theory and in practice.
Description
As an installer, do you want to deepen your knowledge of heat pumps and commission them flawlessly? This advanced course is designed for technicians and installers who already have basic knowledge of heat pumps and wish to further specialize in the correct installation, balancing, and maintenance of heat pump systems. You will learn about hydraulic circuits, fault diagnosis, and efficiency optimization, among other topics. The course is practice-oriented and aligns with current developments in the energy transition.
After this course, you will be better equipped to professionally install, correctly balance, and efficiently maintain heat pump systems.
The course lasts 3 teaching days and consists of 8-hour sessions. The following topics will be covered:
Course Day 1:
- Principles of heat pump installations.
- Energy efficiency, understanding COP and SCOP in relation to optimal water-side design.
- Inspection of site and water-side system.
- Water-side connection of supply and return lines (practice).
- Installing pipes, valves, and flow meters (practical).
- Testing and commissioning (practical).
Course Day 2:
- Maintenance procedures.
- Using multimeters, pressure gauges, and flow meters.
- Software usage, monitoring of pump pressure, flow rates, and temperature differences between supply and return.
- Perform routine maintenance (practice).
- Adjusting flow and pressure (practice).
Course Day 3:
- Faults and troubleshooting.
- Water-side failures.
- Electrical and mechanical problems.
- Simulation of water-side failures (practical).
- Balancing heating groups with flow meters and balancing equipment (practical).
After successfully completing this course you will receive a certificate of participation.
