Discover how you can make an impact with smart innovations that transform our daily lives. Designed with and for the professional field, this is where your talent comes to life.
Description
Content of the training
The Bachelor's program in Sensors & Smart Systems, part of the Electrical Engineering program, focuses on designing, building, and programming smart systems with sensors. You'll learn how to use technology to make environments, products, and processes smarter, from healthcare and sports to (sustainable) energy and industry. You'll develop knowledge in areas such as robotics, programming, control engineering, and data communication, and work on practical, field-based assignments from the outset.
Form of the training (program)
The program is small-scale and personalized. You'll work extensively in small, motivated groups and receive guidance from instructors who know you well. A mentor will support you in your professional and personal development. Because the program was developed in collaboration with the business community, you'll regularly work on real-world projects at organizations like the Energy Academy Europe and ENTRANCE. You'll also have the opportunity to partially customize your studies through electives and project choices.
Practical information
This specialization is part of the Electrical Engineering program at Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen. You can choose from three specializations during your program: Sensors & Smart Systems, Energy & Power Electronics, or Mechatronics. Graduates have excellent job prospects in sectors such as high-tech industry, sustainable energy, healthcare, and mobility. Possible positions include technical designers, technical consultants, project managers, and researchers. The need for smart systems specialists continues to grow strongly, both nationally and internationally.
