Biobased building and insulation
Are you ready to embrace biobased construction? This two-day training course will teach you everything about using biobased materials, from their qualities and pitfalls to fire safety and building physics. Theory, practice, and interaction are combined, guided by experienced experts. This way, you'll be confident and well-informed when it comes to sustainable construction.
Description
Content of the training
If we want to transition to biobased construction in the construction industry, we need sound, independent knowledge, skills, and critical insight into how to use biobased materials. This two-day Biobased Building and Insulation training course provides professionals with the knowledge to get started with biobased construction and insulation, with a solid foundation.
In this training, you'll learn the qualities and key considerations of your biobased materials through a thorough theoretical framework. You'll deepen your knowledge of fire safety, a crucial topic. A practical test will help you understand the building physics relationships and identify key considerations.
Form of the training (program)
The goal of this two-day training is to provide construction-related professionals with well-founded, up-to-date information from experts. They can then apply this knowledge directly to their own work and make their own decisions and assessments. In summary, the three main objectives are:
- You have gained new knowledge about how to implement biobased construction and insulation in a well-considered and safe manner.
- You know which considerations are relevant and how to arrive at the right choice of materials in detailing.
- You know the risks, but also the opportunities, when using biobased building materials and are aware of current developments.
Setup
In this training, you'll combine theoretical and practical knowledge. This training was developed in collaboration with experts, at the initiative of the BuildinG Innovation and Knowledge Center and under the direction of Hanze University of Applied Sciences.
