Description

From 2029, the A1/A2 certificate will be the new standard for anyone working with F-gases and flammable refrigerants. Without this certificate, you are no longer permitted to work on these installations. With the F-gas certificate A1/A2 course, you fully prepare for this combined certificate and are ready for the future.

During the course, you will learn to work safely and practically on installations using both synthetic refrigerants and flammable alternatives such as propane and isobutane. The content aligns directly with the official A1/A2 exam. Upon completion, you will be authorized to work independently on all refrigeration systems, regardless of the type or quantity of refrigerant. The certificate is valid for seven years.

The course is intended for mechanics and technicians who want to work competently and safely with installations filled with propane, isobutane, or synthetic refrigerants. You will learn everything you need in practice, such as installation maintenance, leak detection, and inspection.

The course lasts 12 days and consists of weekly 8-hour sessions, supplemented by practical assignments and self-study. Please allow for an average study load of 2 hours prior to each lesson.

During the course, you will learn the necessary knowledge and skills to work safely on refrigeration systems containing F-gases and flammable refrigerants. The F-gases used in refrigeration systems are harmful to the environment. Therefore, both as a company and as a technician, you must be certified to work with them. This course will cover, among other things:

Theory

  • Various work procedures (TRA, LMRA, ATEX, PPE)
  • Technical, safety and quality requirements for refrigeration systems
  • Log Ph diagram
  • Filling out logbooks and report forms
  • Inspections and adjustment of components

Practice

  • Work safely
  • Operations: pressure testing, vacuuming, rinsing and filling
  • Inspect refrigeration systems and perform (in)direct measurements
  • Replacing components, adjusting them, and practicing performing actions safely
  • Reporting correctly
  • Brazing according to the correct rules

This course prepares you for the nationally recognized exam.
