Assistant Security Technology Technician (with experience in electrical engineering)

Description
Security is a profession. And you already have an advantage if you come from electrical engineering. With this practical course, you dive into the world of security installations. You will learn to work with intrusion systems, cabling, access control, and camera security. You will also get to work on reading drawings, using tools, and understanding how electronics work.
The course is smart preparation for a follow-up such as Security Installation Technician or BMI & OAI Installation Expert, but above all, it provides you with a solid foundation to get started on your own as an assistant technician in security technology.
The course consists of 6 lesson days, spread over 6 weeks. You will receive theory lessons, practical assignments, and work with professional tools. The course is 50% theory and 50% practice. The following topics will be covered:
- Fire alarm systems.
- Electronics.
- Intrusion systems.
- Access systems.
- Camera security.
- Cabling and transmission paths of security systems.
- Tools.
- Reading drawings of security installations.
The exam takes place on the last day. Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive an industry certificate.
