Description

From 2029, all work involving both synthetic and flammable refrigerants will be covered by a single certificate: the A1 or A2 refrigerant certificate. Do you already have your F-Gas Category 1 or 2 certificate? Then you do not need to go through the entire process again.

Thanks to official exemptions, several practical components of the exam—and therefore of the course—are omitted. That is why we have developed this shortened version. Specifically for experienced mechanics who want to get their qualifications in order and advance in their profession.

In this course, we refresh your knowledge of the refrigeration circuit and you will primarily get hands-on. You will learn to work safely with both synthetic and flammable refrigerants, perform measurements and inspections, practice soldering with nitrogen, and learn to work according to the applicable safety regulations.

In 5 days, you will develop the knowledge and skills to work safely and professionally with various refrigerants, including both synthetic and flammable variants.

You practice on practical installations, perform measurements and inspections, learn to solder with nitrogen, and accurately adjust various components. You work with practical situations that you will also encounter in the field later: from drawing up TRAs and ATEX zoning to the safe flare-off of flammable refrigerants.

Theory and practice seamlessly blend together, ensuring you are well-prepared for the A1 exam.

You will encounter the following, among other things:

  • The operation of the refrigeration circuit, basic physical principles, and the structure of systems
  • Operations involving F-gases: filling, vacuuming, leak detection and administrative obligations
  • Working safely with propane, isobutane, and other flammable refrigerants
  • ATEX directives, EX zones and relevant safety standards (such as NPR 7600, EVD and LMRA)

Afterwards, you will know exactly what is needed to start working independently and safely in practice, in accordance with laws and regulations.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive an industry certificate. Depending on variant A1 or A2, you will also receive the corresponding certificate.
