As an industrial refrigeration and climate control technician, you will focus on the installation, maintenance, and repair of professional refrigeration and cooling technology, air handling units, comfort technology, and heat pump systems.
After your training, you will be an expert in complex projects in refrigeration and comfort technology.

Content of the training
During this training you will learn:
- analyzing and troubleshooting complex refrigeration and climate control systems
- inspecting and maintaining complex refrigeration and climate control systems
- commissioning refrigeration and air-conditioning systems

Elective courses

Form of the training (program)
You'll be taking this course through the vocational training program (BBL). You'll work at least 20 hours per week and attend school one day a week. You'll have arranged your own placement with an accredited training company before starting this course. This means you're already employed.
Practical information
For this course you need at least one of the following diplomas or certificates:
- vmbo diploma vocational, mixed or theoretical learning pathway
- transition certificate from year 3 to year 4 of pre-university secondary education (havo) or pre-university education (vwo)
- MBO diploma level 2 or level 3
Note: For this level 4 training course, we recommend the following prior training: First technician for refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
