NB: This privacy statement is governed by Dutch law. This privacy statement is drafted in Dutch and English. In the event of any conflict between the two versions, the Dutch version prevails.
Privacy Statement
This privacy statement applies to the website www.greencareer.nl en www.portal.greencareer.nl of GreenCareer (hereinafter "GreenCareer" or "We"). In this statement, we explain our general privacy policy, the purposes for which we process your personal data, and the rights you have regarding your personal data.
Who is responsible? The GreenCareer platform was developed from the project Waterstof Werkt: H2 Train and Learn Hub, part of Hydrogen Valley Campus Europe(HVCE). Project partner New Energy Coalition is responsible for processing your personal data. We are located at Nijenborgh 6, 9747 AG Groningen. Our Chamber of Commerce number is 69200556.
What is our general privacy policy? We value your privacy. This means we only process your data in accordance with privacy legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
We use your data solely to communicate with you or to provide our services. We process personal data based on the principles described in Article 6 of the GDPR (Lawfulness of Processing). Processing personal data from public sources is based on our legitimate interest in providing an up-to-date and complete overview of vacancies and training opportunities. We respect your privacy by using data solely for this purpose and by limiting its storage (see retention periods). We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties without your consent, unless we are legally obligated to do so.
What are personal data? When you visit our website, we may collect various personal data. Personal data is any information that can be traced back to a natural person.
What personal data do we process from you? We only collect data that you provide to us, that we receive via cookies or, if applicable, personal data made available through public sources.
You are not legally obligated to provide your personal data. However, if you wish to use our website, services, or contact us, we do need the requested information. We do not collect more data than necessary for these purposes.
When you contact us, for example, by registering for our services or contacting us through our contact form, we store the information you provide. We use this information solely to communicate with you about our services, answer your questions, or prepare for a potential agreement.
Depending on your contact with us, we process the following data, for example:
- First and last name and contact details (such as email address and telephone number);
- Content of communications (for example via the contact form);
- Technical data via cookies (such as IP address, browser type, session duration and click behaviour).
Do we also process special personal data? We do not process special personal data, such as data relating to political opinions, religious beliefs or health.
How long do we keep your data? Your data will not be retained longer than necessary for the purpose for which you provided it.
We apply the following retention periods, among others, for GreenCareer.nl:
- Cookie policy: up to 12 months. See our cookie statement for more information;
- Contact requests: up to 90 days after completion of the contact, unless explicit permission has been given to retain data;
- Submission of your own news or eventsAll submission data will be retained for up to 90 days after submission. The event or news item will remain published on the website, even after the event has ended. It can be deleted upon request.
- Job vacancy emails from the career choice toolIf you give permission when taking the career choice test, you will receive biweekly job openings and vacancies by email based on your preferences. This information will be retained until you unsubscribe.
- Newsletters: until you unsubscribe.
We apply the following retention periods, among others, for Portal.GreenCareer.nl:
- Functional cookies: up to 12 months. See our cookie statement for more information;
- Organization details: until the data is changed or the profile is deleted;
- Personal data: until the data is changed or the profile is deleted;
- Personal data from public sources: up to 4 months after the vacancy closes.
Do we share your data?
We only share your data if this is necessary to communicate with you and third parties that are part of our services or if we are legally obliged to share data.
When we share your data to provide our service, we enter into processing agreements with these parties to protect your privacy.
We offer adequate safeguards for parties that store data outside the EU. We only enter into agreements with these parties if the European Commission has decided that data transfer is secure (adequacy decision) or if similar measures have been taken to ensure that your data is also processed securely there.
For GreenCareer we use instruments of Talent in de Regio. Within the framework of this research programme, pseudonymised personal data may be shared with the University of Groningen, Hanze University of Applied Sciences, and TNO. The personal data will not be processed outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
How secure is your data?
GreenCareer considers the security of your data to be very important. Therefore, we implement appropriate security measures to ensure that your data is not lost or accessed by unauthorized third parties. Some of these measures are listed below:
- Our website is secured with an SSL certificate so that personal data is sent encrypted.
- We have a strict need-to-know policy. Only authorized personnel/third parties have access to your personal data.
- We enter into agreements with third parties who process your personal data on our behalf.
Do we use cookies?

What rights do you have? You have several rights with regard to your privacy:
- Right of access;
- Right to rectification;
- Right to erasure (right to be forgotten);
- Right to restriction of processing;
- Right to data portability;

You can submit your request or objection via our contact form on our Contact page. Please include “Personal Data” in the subject line.
To properly process your request or objection, we kindly ask you to include a copy of your ID. Please black out your passport photo, MRZ (the strip with numbers on your ID), document number, and Citizen Service Number (BSN) in this copy. We will respond to your message as soon as possible.
If you have any complaints about how we handle your privacy, we would like to hear from you via our contact form. We strive to resolve complaints through consultation. You are also free to file a complaint with the supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority. You can do so via www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nlThe data will be deleted as soon as the request/objection has been processed.
What happens when changes are made? Privacy policies are subject to change. This means this privacy statement is subject to change. Please check this statement regularly.

These terms and conditions apply to the website of GreenCareer (hereinafter “GreenCareer” or “We”).
Definitions:
- GreenCareer: The GreenCareer platform consists of greencareer.nl en www.portal.greencareer.nlThe platform was developed from the project Waterstof Werkt: H2 Train and Learn Hub (duration 01/02/2022 – 09/10/2026), part of Hydrogen Valley Campus Europe (HVCE);
- ConciergeProject partner: New Energy Coalition. We are located at Nijenborgh 6, 9747 AG Groningen. Our Chamber of Commerce number is 69200556;
- Users: Any natural person who uses the services through this website, or registers on behalf of a company (employer or trainer).
- Company: The employers or trainers on behalf of whom the user acts and for whom data is entered and/or managed;
- Account: The profile created by a company in the portal to publish vacancies and/or training courses on GreenCareer;
- Services: GreenCareer offers an overview of sustainable activities in the Northern Netherlands, including vacancies, training, events, news, and innovations. These services are offered through www.greencareer.nl en www.portal.greencareer.nl;
- Public sources: Some of the information on this website comes from public sources (such as job vacancy and training websites) and may have been automatically processed or formatted by GreenCareer, using artificial intelligence (AI);
- Manual content: Content that is manually entered by the GreenCareer team or company.
Applicability: These terms and conditions apply to all use of the GreenCareer platform, user registration, and all services offered through this website. In the event of any conflict, the privacy statement prevails with respect to the processing of personal data. The disclaimer applies to (the accuracy of) information; these terms and conditions apply to the use of the platform. Where provisions run concurrently, they apply cumulatively.
Registration and account access:
- Only natural persons authorized to act on behalf of a company may register;
- By registering, the user confirms that he or she is authorized to act on behalf of the specified company;
- The user is responsible for correctly and completely entering the requested data upon registration.
User Responsibilities:
- The user is responsible for the accuracy, completeness and topicality of the content that is manually entered into the system on behalf of the company;
- If company details change (such as address, contact persons or authorisations), the user is obliged to implement these changes without delay;
- In the event of extended absence (such as leave, illness or departure), the user must ensure that an authorised replacement is given access to the system in order to ensure continuity of data management;
- The user is responsible for protecting the confidentiality of login information and bears all risks arising from unauthorized use.
Use of the GreenCareer: The user will not use the platform for:
- Posting or distributing unlawful, misleading or infringing information;
- Violating the rights of third parties (including copyright and trademark rights);
- Circumventing technical security measures or automatically reading/scraping (parts of) the website;
- Sending unwanted messages or advertisements,
- Causing a disruption or overload to the services.
The administrator may refuse, modify or remove content and block access if this is reasonably necessary.
Usage costs:
- Until the end of the project Waterstof Werkt: H2 Train and Learn Hub (duration 01/02/2022 – 09/10/2026) there are no costs associated with companies publishing vacancies and training courses;
- The administrator reserves the right to introduce a cost model from the end date of the project;
- If a cost model is introduced, companies will be notified at least three (3) months in advance by email or via the website;
- In that case, companies have the option to terminate their use of GreenCareer without further obligations;
- There are no fees charged for vacancies, internships, and training courses retrieved from public sources; this remains unchanged, even with the introduction of a cost model.
Information from public sources:
- GreenCareer collects data from public sources (e.g. job vacancy and training websites);
- This data can be rewritten or modified into a standard format using AI;
- The administrator is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of this information;
- Users are referred to the original source for definitive and current information.
Notice and takedown: Reports of unlawful or infringing information on or through GreenCareer can be made through us contact form. Please include "NTD" as the subject. Include a clear description, the relevant URL(s), and a justification. The administrator carefully reviews reports and may (temporarily) remove or hide information and/or contact the source. Where possible, the reporter will be informed of the outcome.
Intellectual property:
- All intellectual property rights relating to the content, structure, design and operation of this website belong to the administrator insofar as these rights are not held by third parties;
- Content from external sources is subject to the rights of the original owner;
- It is not permitted to copy, distribute or reuse (parts of) the website without written permission from the administrator.
Availability and maintenance:
- The administrator strives for continuous availability of the website, but does not guarantee uninterrupted operation;

- This indemnity also includes the reasonable costs of legal assistance incurred by the administrator in defending against such claims.
Privacy:
- The administrator processes personal data in accordance with privacy legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as described in GreenCareer's privacy statement;
- By registering, the user declares that he or she has read and agrees to this statement.
Amendments:
- The administrator reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. These changes will take effect upon publication. The most current version is always available on the website. In the event of substantial changes, accounts will be deleted as soon as you log in again. www.portal.greencareer.nlA notification that the terms and conditions have been amended and require re-signing. The version date is clearly stated;
- The Dutch version prevails. The effective date and version number are stated at the top of this document.
External links and third parties:
- The administrator cannot be held liable for the content of linked third-party websites;

Applicable Law: These terms and conditions are governed by Dutch law. Disputes arising from the use of the website will be submitted exclusively to the competent court in the Netherlands.
