Description

You contribute to a sustainable and climate-resilient living environment by translating green and climate visions into actionable policies, with a focus on urban green spaces and biodiversity. This involves translating policy into visible plans in public spaces.

Job requirements

  • Completed higher vocational or university education in the field of nature, ecology, climate or similar.
  • At least three years of experience in nature, biodiversity or climate adaptation.
  • Administratively sensitive with an understanding of municipal decision-making.
  • Experience with project-based work and writing policy documents.
  • Ability to switch between different interests and create support.
  • Able to connect different policy areas.
  • Knowledge of environmental permits and municipal processes is an advantage.

Tasks

  • Developing the green and climate adaptation vision into concrete, feasible policy frameworks.
  • Drafting proposals for the executive board and council and supervising the administrative decision-making process.
  • Organizing and leading meetings with colleagues, water boards and external partners.
  • Ensuring the broad embedding of policy within the municipal organisation.
  • Incorporating policy frameworks into the environmental plan.
  • Monitoring national and regional developments in nature, biodiversity, and climate and translating these into opportunities.

Working conditions

  • Meaningful function with direct impact on the living environment.
  • Individual Choice Budget (IKB) of 17,05% on top of the salary.
  • 144 statutory and 57,6 extra-statutory leave hours.
  • Good secondary employment conditions, including a work-from-home arrangement and training opportunities.
  • Temporary employment contract for one year, with the prospect of a permanent contract if performance is good.
