MSc internship in electrochemical regeneration of alkaline absorbents for CO2 capture. Work includes electrochemical assembly, experiments, solution analysis and data analysis. Requires MSc-level chemical or environmental engineering background and willingness to relocate to Leeuwarden.
Omschrijving
MSc internship in electrochemical regeneration of alkaline absorbents for CO2 capture. Anticipated start: October or November 2026. Duration: 3 to 6 months. Location: Wetsus, Leeuwarden, the Netherlands. The project will optimize an electrochemical cell to regenerate alkaline absorbents at laboratory scale, aiming to determine optimum cell configuration and operating conditions, achieve high current efficiency, low energy consumption, and maximize CO2 uptake and solvent regeneration. You will learn to develop a research project independently and improve your critical thinking. The project participates in ConsenCUS, a large EU collaboration with industry and academia.
