MSc internship at Wetsus in Leeuwarden focused on electrochemical regeneration of alkaline absorbents for CO2 capture.
Tasks: assemble electrochemical unit, run experiments, analyze solution composition and experimental data.
Requirements: MSc student in chemical or environmental engineering with electrochemistry or experimental experience.
Omschrijving
MSc internship in electrochemical regeneration of alkaline absorbents for CO2 capture. Anticipated start: October or November 2026. Duration: 3 to 6 months. Location: Wetsus, Leeuwarden, the Netherlands.
The project will optimize an electrochemical cell to regenerate alkaline absorbents for CO2 capture at laboratory scale. Challenges include determining optimum cell configuration and operating conditions, achieving high current efficiency, low energy consumption, and maximizing CO2 uptake and alkaline solvent regeneration. You will learn to develop a research project independently and improve critical thinking.
