We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented intern to support our Production and Operations teams at our manufacturing plant. This role focuses on enhancing production efficiency, optimizing warehouse operations, and driving digital transformation initiatives. The internship provides hands-on experience in managing production workflows, materials, and logistics while contributing to continuous improvement and sustainability goals. The intern will report to the operations manager.
Functie eisen
- Available to start in September for a duration of five to six months.
- Enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP or WMS systems is a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Enthusiasm for digitalization, sustainability, and process optimization.

- Assist in overseeing daily production activities to ensure safe, efficient operations aligned with schedules and quality standards.
- Participate in implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve productivity and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and address technical issues.
- Contribute to tracking and managing raw materials, finished goods, and intermediate storage to support production and shipping.
- Support digital tools and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to improve inventory accuracy and streamline operations.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics to ensure smooth material flow and prevent stockouts or overages.
- Work with procurement, quality, safety, and logistics departments to address bottlenecks and improve workflows.
- Act as a liaison between production, warehouse, and customer service teams.
- Assist in implementing Industry 4.0 technologies such as IoT and predictive analytics for real-time tracking.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on process automation and data-driven decision-making.
- Support integration of sustainable practices, including energy-efficient equipment and greener logistics.
